Project Publisher is a Microsoft Office Project add-in that connects Microsoft Office Project and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (WSS) or Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) to make working together on projects easier. By publishing Microsoft Office Project .mpp files to SharePoint, all team members can access and update their own tasks and key project information.

- Dashboard – A very configurable summarized view of all active projects where schedule status, issue status, and risk status highlight potential problem areas. Filter the list of projects based on status or project name to view more detailed project information. Use the EPM Live customizable Indicator Columns to create your own indicators and thresholds.

- Project Summary Web Parts – The Project Summary Web Parts graphically represent the number and percentage of the Task, Milestone, Issue, and Risk statuses.

How can I get started?

1.) Ensure Microsoft SharePoint 3.0 or MOSS is installed in your environment
Since the EPM Live Workgroup Toolkit is built upon Microsoft SharePoint 3.0, either Microsoft SharePoint 3.0 or MOSS (Microsoft Office SharePoint Server) is required to be installed and configured correctly in your environment.

2.) Ensure that your team is using Microsoft Office Project 2007 Standard or Professional

3.) Purchase the EPM Workgroup Toolkit and Project Publisher licenses
Project Publisher is an Add-in for Microsoft Office Project 2007 that enables the feature rich synchronization between SharePoint and Microsoft Project. You will need 1 Project Publisher license for every resource that will be using Microsoft Office Project to publish and recieve updates from SharePoint.
